ORIGEN’S TEACHING ABOUT LOGOS

Abstract
This article brings theological thinking of Origen as an important representative of the Alexandrian theology of the 3rd century and outlines his doctrine of the Logos. It refers to the doctrine of God the Father as a starting point for Origen’s learning about the Logos. Article also says the native of eternal Logos of the Father as the continuous, eternal process. The article analyses the relationship of the Logos to the God the Father in the context subordinationism and it points to the potential impact of Platonism. It also says about the Logos and its relation to man with an emphasis on the knowledge of the God and the Incarnation of the Logos and iconomy of salvation. The article presents the incarnation of Logos with emphasis on the pedagogical aspect. It touches upon issues such as body and soul to Jesus Christ, cenosis, perfection, redemption and salvation of mankind.
