Institutional development of the workplace:

The Department of Managerial Psychology is an important part of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business of the PU in Prešov. The department contributes significantly to the study of modern management and to the profile of a graduate of the faculty, primarily as a manager and businessman with prerequisites for performing managerial and business activities. The main mission of the department is to enrich knowledge in the field of human resources. The department has a similar position within the economics-oriented faculties as related departments in these faculties - one of the excellent examples is the Department of Psychology and Sociology of Management of the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Economics in Prague.

Educational and research infrastructure:

The Department of Managerial Psychology FMEO PU provides compulsory core knowledge units, compulsory electives and optional subjects of accredited study fields: Management, Business Management and Marketing and Tourism, Hospitality and Spa, as well as PhD. the study. These are the following subjects:

• Methodology and methods of social research
• Psychology
• Social psychology
• Coping with difficult situations in human resources management
• Organizational behavior
• Basics of coaching in business management
• Coaching
• Business psychology and business behavior
• Business psychology
• Organizational psychology

Scientific research activities

The priority research focus of the Department of Managerial Psychology of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business PU in Prešov is also reflected in the fact that several tasks were solved "C e n t r a e x c e l e n t i o n for cognitive research", which the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business PU in Prešov became a part of as an organization from 01.01 .2007.

Several international and national projects were handled at the department. Several VEGA projects, KEGA projects, CEVKOG project, MVTS APVV project and internal projects of the Grant Agency for Research in Management of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Business of the Prešov University in Prešov GAMA have been successfully completed. The KEGA and VEGA projects are also currently being solved. The thematic focus of the projects includes issues of social intelligence, social phenomena, quality of life, personnel practice, cognitive errors in thinking, coaching in management, coping with difficult situations, interpersonal skills, business psychology and business behavior with a connection to neuromarketing.
