She graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava (1998-2003) in the field of study Economics and Business Management at the Faculty of Business Economy with its seat in Košice. During her university studies she completed a study stay in Germany at Fachhochschule Nűrtingen in the field of Business Studies (2003). She completed her doctoral studies in the area of science of Sectoral and Branch Economics with a specialization in the Economy of Trade and Industry at the Faculty of Business Economy of the University of Economics in Bratislava with the seat in Košice (2004-2007). Since 2007 she has been working at the Department of Economics and Economy at the Faculty of Management and Business, the University of Prešov in Prešov. In 2010 she was appointed Associate Professor in the study field Management at the Faculty of Management of the University of Prešov in Prešov. She is a member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Management and Business of the University of Prešov in Prešov and a member of the Editorial Board of the Scientific Proceedings of the Department of Economics and Economy of the Faculty of Management and Business, the University of Prešov in Prešov. At present, her research activities focus mainly on determinants of the implementation of cross border mergers and acquisitions and on the issue of competitiveness of the economy and industry. So far, she has participated in 15 domestic research projects, she was a head of the research team in two and a deputy head in three of these projects. Currently, she is a principal investigator of a VEGA research project. For the research results published in foreign and domestic scientific Current Contents journals she was awarded the Price of Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava in 2008 and in 2010 and 2017 the Price of Rector of the University of Prešov in Prešov. In 2016 she was awarded the Bronze Medal for significant contribution to the development of the University of Prešov in Prešov and in 2017 a Commemorative Medal on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the foundation of the University of Prešov in Prešov by Rector of the University of Prešov in Prešov. So far, she has published 160 publications with 223 registered citations, of which 42 on citation databases Web of Science and SCOPUS. 11 of her publications are registered in the Web of Science database, including 6 in the Current Contents database.
