Department of Ecology
Department of Ecology
#Ecology is the science of the 21st century studing the relationships between living organisms and with their environment. Only knowledge based on scientific evidence makes it possible to find solutions to the current global problems affecting our planet. At our department, we seek answers to the question of Why nature is so diverse?, What are and what role ecological cascades, chemicals formed by organisms, geography or sexual selection play in the creation of biodiversity? We study animals, plants, and microbes. We perceive and explore nature from various perspectives in the field and state-of-the-art university laboratories.
We support the active involvement of students, from their bachelor's studies, to scientific research, as well as their participation in various study stays abroad, internships and expeditions to exotic countries.
Mission of #eDepartment
One of the most substantial goals of the Department of Ecology is to support top research, educate and disseminate knowledge about living organisms, their evolution and environmental protection.
