University teacher at the Faculty of Arts of the Presov University in Presov and senior researcher of the Institute for Labour and Family Research in Bratislava. She is primarily interested in disability and long-term care fields, even so in agenda of scientific communication and communication of science. She has been representing Slovakia in some prestige national and international projects and networks (e.g. ANED, European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research in Vienna) and holds a status of the WHO consultant for the European region in agenda of long-term care for older persons and maltreatment in caring relationships. She is author of many monographs, scientific reports and papers, policy briefs and popularised papers (leaflets).
