Characteristic of project
Annotation: eSports as a new activity that radically changes the culture of young people represents playing computer games based on regular training and continuous improvement of game skills and competing in tournaments. The number of eSports players all around the world is estimated in millions, the number of viewers in the hundreds of millions, and according to Superdata, the impact of this phenomenon on the economy is estimated at $ 1.5 billion only for this year. Psychological research in eSports is only at the beginning, therefore the aim of this project is to identify cognitive, personality-related, and other non-psychological variables that contribute to the success of players in the three most played games in their genres - strategic game StarCraft 2, MOBA game Dota 2 and action game Counter-Strike.
