Directions to Presov

 

If driving from Poprad direction, follow the city road signs for Kosice upon entering Presov and drive off the Road 18 turning right to "Obrancov mieru". Drive down that street until you see a bridge on the left side. Turn left to "Požiarnická" and immediately after crossing the river Torysa turn right to "17. novembra". Drive along that street until you see a large building of glass and metal construction on the right side of the road. It is the main building of the Faculty of Arts.

If driving from south (Kosice direction), the shortest route to the main building of the Faculty of Arts is the same as the route of the trolleybus line no. 38 depicted on the map in the below section which also describes the route from the main bus and railway stations. Presov has only military air connection, but there is an international airport in nearby Kosice. You can check its website here. 

 

Arrival information & public transport

 

If arriving at the Presov main railway station or the Presov bus station, you can get to "Ulica 17. novembra" or "17. novembra" (17th November Street) by taking trolleybus no. 38 in direction "Sídlisko III" (bus departure area next to the main bus station, not the railway station). Step off the bus at the second stop. The name of the bus stop is "Vysokoškolský areál" and you may also probably hear the report voice in Slovak pronounicing the word "areal" before the trolleybus stops for unloading. The scheduled duration of the route depicted on the map below is approximately 5 minutes for a trolleybus and it takes approximately 15-20 minutes for a pedestrian.

Click here to see the schedule of the line no. 38 departing from the area on the main bus station's side. The 10-minutes transfer ticket for 0,40 EUR will be sufficient and you can purchase it in a ticket vending machine at the bus departure area. If you purchase the ticket using the TVM, do not forget to mark your ticket in the marking machine immediately upon entry into the trolleybus. You can alternatively purchase the 30-minutes (45-minutes during weekend) transfer fare for 0,70 EUR sending an empty SMS to the number 1144. This method will work, if your mobile phone indicates connection to the network of one of the following operators: Orange Slovensko, a.s., Slovak Telecom, a.s., (T-Mobile, T-com), and Telefónica Slovakia s.r.o. (O2 Slovakia s.r.o.).
