Professor for study programme 2.1.5 ethics
As a professor of ethics, she is a guarantee of study programmes oriented on teaching of ethics in combinations. In her research as well as pedagogical orientation, she deals with theoretical and methodological problems of ideal and applied ethics: actual ethical questions and their current problems and aspects in Slovakia, intersections of philosophy, ethics and literature, the problems of ethics in public politics and actual problems of medical ethics.
She has taken part in many educational stays at universities in Great Britain (Nottingham, Bradford), with an aim to participate and improve the scientific research and pedagogical practice. She also participated in weekly lecture stays at universities in Bolton (Great Britain) and Hradec Králové (Czech Republic). As a member of an international project Tempus aimed at the transformation of Slovakia into European structures, she has participated in international internship in Brussels (Belgium) and Aix-en-Provence (France).
She has published monographs Étos, dejiny, súčasnosť [Ethos, history and the present] (2012), Výzvy pre etiku v súčasnosti [Contemporary ethical challenges] (2008), Epistemológia v zrkadle historickej reflexie [Epistemology mirrored in the historical reflection] (1999), Z prienikov filozofie, etiky a literatúry [About intersections of philosophy, ethics and literature](2005), textbooks Teória poznania [The theory of cognition] (1993), Úvod do epistemológie a metodológie vedy [An introduction into epistemology and methodology of science] (2007), Etika a medicína [Ethics and medicine] (2008), Malý slovník filozofie [A small philosophical vocabulary] (2000). She publishes the findings of her research as scientific studies in professional printing and in collective volumes from domestic and international conferences.
