Department of Romance Studies
The Department of Romance Studies of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prešov is the second oldest department of romance studies in Slovakia. For more than a half century it provides instruction in various study programs for students of romance languages who then apply for prestigious job on the work market in Slovakia as well as abroad. Our graduates hold important positions in international or foreign companies or they work as interpreters and translators in the institutions of the European Union. They can also be found teaching in high schools across the country and some of them are successful researchers at Slovak universities.
