On September 29, 2022, a SMART conference focused on the areas of education, healthcare, culture, and strategic development was held within the Office of the Prešov Self-governing Region. As part of the event, a section highlighted the importance of Prešov Self-governing Region cooperation with universities and the business environment was presented. The vice-rector for strategy and marketing of UP and member of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Mathematical Methods professor Ing. Peter Adamišin, PhD. spoke at the conference.
