Abstract
Changes in the socio-political life of Europeans in the 20th century caused great geopolitical as well as church-hierarchical changes. After the First World War, large monarchies disappeared, resulting in several states that were until then within the borders of these monarchies, and new circumstances required social change. This was also the case with the founding of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, and later Yugoslavia, which conditioned the restoration of the Patriarchate of Pechnya and the unification of the Serbian Orthodox Church (1920). This evaluation document is a review of the restoration event itself based on the Declaration made on this occasion, and the text of the Declaration itself will serve as a historical source to clarify the circumstances during the ceremonial act of restoring the Pec Patriarchate.

SUMMARY
All political and ecclesiastical issues connected with the restoration of the patriarchate of Pecha, ie the unification of all Serbian Orthodox regions into one Serbian Orthodox Church, were governed by the canonical order and the tradition of the Orthodox Church. After objectifying the events in the field, official preparations began, and the first step was to seek the blessing of the Mother Church and then to unite the church hierarchy under the omophor of the Serbian patriarch. Historical document - Declaration on the Establishment of the Serbian Patriarchate on the Day of the Assembly of Serbian Enlighteners on September 12, 1920 - August 20, 1920 in Sremski Karlovac - notes the seriousness and significance of events and confirms the formation of Serbian history, culture and religion in one day when the Serbian Patriarchate was restored and the conditions were created for the election of the Serbian patriarch and for the functioning of the Serbian Orthodox hierarchy in the missionary and pastoral-liturgical area among the Serbs, who began to live on all the world's meridians from early 20th century. This Declaration was an official protocol and an indicator of the good organization, but also of the seriousness of the Serbian people, which the government, the king and the church embodied in the solemn act of restoration of the Patriarchate in Pec in 1920.
