Abstract
The modern development of the world economy is characterized by an extreme increase in the competition of various civilizational spiritual information systems. In this regard, an analysis of the existing religious moral paradigms and their functioning at the level of various religious doctrines acquires extraordinary relevance. In order to show in what spiritual and, as a result, social environment, the life of modern Orthodox entrepreneurs proceeds, and what challenges they face today, determining their behavior and approaches to self-realization in different spheres of life, the article analyzes the main religious paradigms and doctrines, their elements are shown, a comparison is made with the Christian Orthodox paradigm and doctrine. A modern eclectic doctrine has been synthesized. The purpose of this article is to characterize and highlight the main features of the portrait of an Orthodox entrepreneur in its combined manifestation and functioning. A very important example for describing the portrait of an Orthodox businessman is the experience of Egypt, in particular the Copts, as the Orthodox part of Egyptian society, which for centuries managed to preserve the essence of Christian Orthodox teaching, despite their opposition to the competition with Muslims, atheists, and pagans. To date, the Copts have created a very powerful class of fairly wealthy people who are both Orthodox Orthodox Christians and private entrepreneurs, investors. The experience of modern Egypt, the development of the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Coptic community show how Orthodox entrepreneurship can effectively develop in a very tough modern society, how Orthodoxy can contribute to the development of private business based on labor ownership and productive private capitalist activity.
