Abstract
To love our neighbour means to love God. Jesus Christ´s words of love for neighbour and the lives of the Holy Fathers give us an example of how to live today. At the same time, the article presents the activities of individual Orthodox philanthropic centers in Greece, as well as their activities outside Greece, such as in Africa. The main idea is to help a neighbour, both spiritually and materially. Each organization has programs aimed at individual groups of people and finding solutions in adverse life situations. Part of the projects is the construction of temples, spiritual education, as well as the baptism of children and adults, especially in countries of third world.

SUMMARY
Most organizations do not participate in government work, have enough sponsors, donations or collections in the temple. They work with other Orthodox philanthropic centers around the world such as IOCC in America, GOARCH, Philoptochos, DCA Denmark, Miloserdie Russia and many other organizations around the world. Philanthropic centers have either the production of products such as animal and agricultural production, material products (on the basis of sheltered workshops), or activities where collections are held to help others. Every philanthropic center has priests, catechists, or missionaries who teach people the teachings of Jesus Christ.
