Abstract

The contribution analyzes methodological paradigm of religious groups of symbols, which included structural, hermeneutic and semiotic methods of reveal the communicative and pragmatic aspects of semantic potential of Christian religious symbolics. Considered symbolic component in terms of language discourse of religion that structured in a conceptual hierarchy agreed text construction, particularly in intertextual and communication model reflecting qualification and axiological sphere of religious and sacred knowledge and artistic interpretation of reality. Analyzed separate groups of Christian sacred symbols, including the Holy Spirit and water, which are included in the overall picture of Christian symbolism as a system of established concepts.
