Written by Nofar and Yeal
In Israel we have many Terror attacts. Israel is serounded by many arabic countries. With Eagept and Jorden we have peace agreement, with the others we do not. In thoes countries there are terror groups: Hizzballa and Hamas. They are threathing the citizens life. Many people are afraid to go out of their houses because of these to terroriest groups. In the last year we tried to negotiate with the Palestines. In the last year we had many terror attacts in Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv. In those terror attacts we had many innocent civilians who died and were hurt. We hope that in the future we will have a strong peace agreement and we could live in peace and we won't be afraid to go to the streets again.

ZLATICA BAJDALOVA
It happened in 1990 on my Christmas holiday. My parents kept a promise. My Christmas presents were skis and ski boots. I was very happy. The next day father went with me to a small hill.He fixed my skis for me. After father's lecture about skiing I had to go down the hill. Then my big pleasure changed into fear. Firstly I didn't want to do it because I was afraid. But my father said that I had to do it. I moved a little and then I hurried with very big speed down the hill. Father's talking about skiing was only talking to the wind. I stopped with my face in soft snow. I was angry and I didn't want to ski again. But next day I changed my opinion. Now, I'm laughing at this accident because skiing is my favourite sport.

A MOUSE IN THE HOUSE
by Kristina Janezic
We have a weekend house near Bovec, a town in the heart of the Alp sand the Soča valley. It is placed in the north-west of Slovenia. The Soca is among the most beautiful rivers in the world, well known for its
blue-green colour and the nice nature around it.Last summer our family went to our weekend house that stands on a low hill to spend a week there. The weather was fine and so I mowed them eadow around the house while my younger two brothers made two small bird houses and hung them in the nearest trees. In the evening we were all very tired so we went to bed early. We were all sleeping tight that night. About three o'clock in the morning my brother suddenly woke up. He was very thirsty. He called mum and together they went down to the kitchen. My grandma woke too and she followed them. When my mum was preparing some tee, they suddenly heard a noise. It was ascratching sound coming from behind the cupboard. It was still dark and night so My brother and me were frightened a lot. But not for long because we could see what made that noise. It was a dormouse that came out from the cupboard. We smiled because that small thing was so cute with so big brown eyes and a long tail. My mum fetched the video camera and recorded it., but grandma took the broom and tried to hit the helpless animal. She explained that the mouse looks helpless but it is dangerous and can damage our furniture. So she was trying to hit it while the little thing was running up and down the walls and furniture trying to escape the death. Finally the dormouse found the shelter behind the cupboard again and the race was over. We all returned to bed.
We stayed at our weekend house for another week and we saw our little friend once again. It pushed its head out of its hiding place and watched us with surprise. It was her home and now we - the intruders were there, because more or less the house was empty during the year. We children began to scream so it hid back to its place and we didn't see it anymore.
ALL ALONE IN THE SKI RESORT
by Anja Zefran
Once when I was a little girl, my father and I went skiing. I was very happy. When we arrived to the ski resort we took our skiing equipment; ski boots, skis and sticks and we started skiing. The weather was nice and the snow was so white. A lot of people were there too. After a while my father decided to visit his friend who was not far away in the same resort. He told me that, but I didn't hear him. So I was skiing quite a long time alone before I noticed that he was not with me. I was really scared as I didn't know anyone there. I was standing alone in the middle of the ski field and began to cry. The tears were running down my cheeks when a nice man stopped next to me and asked what was wrong. I told him that my father disappeared and that I knew nobody there. He promised to help me find him. But luckily I then noticed my father coming towards me. I was so happy. My fatherthanked the kind man for his help and we returned home because it was already late. Strange places can scare you if you are alone. I know that from then on I'm always careful when we are away from home.
MY NEW FRIEND
by Janja Zavrtanik, Slovenia
It was Sunday, 7th March. The weather was very bad. It was very cool and it was raining almost all the day long. I woke up at 9 o'clock and I had to go to the market, because there wasn't any food for breakfast in the refrigerator. I went out without taking my umbrella as for the moment it stopped raining. When I bought everything I needed I returned home. But in the middle of the way it started to rain. I was wet as a mouse immediately and so was my paper bag. It scrapped and everything , the bread, the milk and the eggs fell on the wet pavement. I was not only angry but also sad. Then a girl came near, helped me pick up all my food and took me under her umbrella. Her name was Tina. We began to talk. She was very kind and I like kind people. We became friends. I learned two things from this experience: first - always take the umbrella with you when the weather is bad and second - that a friend in need is a friend indeed.
WRITING GRAFFITI IS QUITE COOL
by Peter Lukan
I think writing graffiti is not a bad thing, but it can become bad. For example we can do damage, if we write it on newly painted walls or on a house that isn't our property, and also on cars, galleries, museums and similar buildings. It's a bad deed too. But if it is written on the right place it can become an art monument. In my town there's some graffiti. It's mostly written on schools and maybe near some bars. Graffiti writers are mostly fifteen to twenty- year old youngsters. They are of both sex. I know some of them. They are stylish, lively, full of energy, uncommon and creative. They like listening to music, enjoying in good company and some of them are even really artists or singers. So they are also interested in writing graffiti. Examples of graffiti are various. They can tell us something about music, drugs, street life or they are just pictures. You can interpret them yourself as you like. The graffiti problem could be solved if public graffiti boards were put up in the town. But that is only one possibility. We should also select places where writing graffiti is strictly prohibited and places where the graffiti writers should ask the owners if they can create their graffiti on their walls. I think this is the key to the solution for both graffiti writers and for the owners of the houses.
MY DADY AND THE CRAB
by Mojca Gal
I like summers because we go to the seaside and we all enjoy the sea, the sun and the holidays. Last summer my family was at the seaside too. The weather was nice and I swam a lot. One day my father caught some sardines and I helped him when he was cleaning them. We were sitting on the beach near the sea. Suddenly my father noticed that a quite big crab was stealing our fish. He tried to frighten the naughty thief so he took a knife and wanted to cut the crab's claws. There was quite a fight. But the crab was always quicker than my dad. After a while my dad gave up. But do you know why? Because the crab took his knife away.
FEAR HAS BIG EYES
by Bandelj Tamara
It happened last autumn. Our meadow behind the house was full of dead leaves, so I decided to clean it. I took the rake and started to rake off the dead leaves. When there was a quite big pile of leaves I suddenly saw that the leaves in the pile moved. At first I was curious what it was. But later when it didn't stop and the pile grew I was frightened and ran to the house and called my dad. I told him about live pile of leaves. He took a rake too and we returned to the pile. We observed the pile and were ready to escape if something dangerous would come out of it. The pile grew bigger and bigger, so we thought that there was something dangerous and wild inside. Then it happened. A small turtle came out . We were astonished at first but then we started to laugh. It's true what old people here often say:_Fear has big eyes_
MARKY, MR GORDON'S HORSE
by Vida Gravnar
This story happened one autumn a long time ago. It was in November and as always the weather wasn't nice for some days. It was cold and it even snowed from time to time. Mr Gordon, an old man who lived alone was at home. He had a big house. His wife died years ago. Mr Gordon liked animals very much, especially horses. So he had two horses, one amed Marky and the other was Fredy. Mr Gordon went with them for long walks every day, but one day …
One day he woke up very early. He got dressed and had breakfast. When he was drinking his tea he heard a noise in the stable He ran immediately to see what was the matter. When he arrived there he noticed that the stable door was opened. He entered and Marky wasn't there. Mr Gordon climbed on Fredy and they hurried after Marky. Mr Gordon looked after Marky all day long, but he didn't find him. He was very sad. The days passed and Mr Gordon looked throuhgh the window and hoped that his horse would come back. The days were very cold and he was afraid for his horse health.
After a week he went riding his second horse Fredy. He was riding for about two hours when suddenly he spotted Marky on the nearest meadow. He was so happy and he rode to him. He quckly found out that Marky's leg was broken. Mr Gordon helped Marky to his stable. Two months later Marky was again OK and all the three lieved happily together.
I LIKE HORSES, BUT ...
Here is my story and I think it‘s quite funny. My family and I were on holidays in Bohinj last year. Bohinj is a beautiful resort in Slovenia. There you can swim in the beautiful mountain lake in summer or ski in the ski centre in winter.
We were there last summer. One day my mum proposed a trip to the nearest resort Pokljuka, a plateau near Bohinj. Unfortunately dad couldn‘t go with us, because he had a temperature and he stayed in bed in hotel. Mum was driving very slowly because the road was narrow and there were many bends. As we were driving uphill we suddenly spotted two nice horses, a small and a big one on the meadow. Mum had to stop because we children, that is my two younger brothers and I wanted to see and touch the horses. We got off the car and ran to them. We had sweets and we were feeding them quite a long time. After a while we wanted to return to the car, but the two horses followed us. We started to run and they ran too. When our mum saw what was going on, she opened the car doors and we jumped in as fast as we could. We were frightened to death. Then mum wanted to start the engine when she realised that she left the car keys in the open boot. We looked back and we saw how the horses pushed their heads into the car boot. We children started to scream, but mum explained us that they probably smelled our bags where our food was. Some endless seconds passed and finally the horses decided to go away. We were saved and happy. Mum quickly got out of the car, took the keys and started the engine. We happily drove back to our hotel. But the funniest and most interesting thing was when we discovered that we left our film camera on. So it recorded all our screaming and talking. And when we returned home to Nova Gorica, a young beautiful sunny town near the Italian border, we put the videocassette into the recorder and could hear our frightened voices and all the mess. It was an interesting and special experience not only for us children, but also for our mother. Now we know that animals can be friendly and nice but they can also frighten us.

AMBER WENT INTO THE WOODS
by Amber Gramling
One day Amber went into the woods to see her grandma. She saw a Leprechaun and the leprechaun was trying to get a squirrel out of a trap. Amber came to help. When they got the squirrel out, it had a broken paw. Amber had to carry the squirrel everywhere they went.
It was a rainy day. They went into a dark cave to keep warm. When the rain stopped they went to Amber`s grandma`s house to see if Amber`s grandma was home. She was not home so they went in the house and laid down on grandma`s bed to take a nap.
But the leprechaun did not go to sleep. He said to himself, where are we going next?
Amber awoke and said, What is all this noise?
The leprechaun hid in a black corner.
Amber said, Who is in here?
It is me, the leprechaun. I just did not go to sleep.
OK, replied Amber. She went back to sleep. When Amber and the squirrel awoke the leprechaun had left a note on the table addressed to Amber.
It said, I can`t help you go on your journey. I am sorry it is just so hard to go.
Amber said to herself, Then why did he come in the first place? Come on, we will go by ourselves. They walked and walked and walked. The squirrel`s paw starter to get better, he could walk on his four paws again. They stopped for a rest. The squirrel climbed a tree. He made a nest to sleep in for the night.
When they got up Amber said, `Squirrel, we have traveled a long way. We should go to our homes. We have had our journey. We have been gone on our journey for 1 week. I will see you again. Some day soon.
WHEN I WAS A PUPPY
by Sammy Jo Schmidt
One day my daddy said to me: Me and your mom are going on a trip. You are going to stay here with your Uncle Tim, okay?
I said, okay back to him.
Then my Uncle Tim said, You are going to go to your room, okay?
I said, Okay.
Then I said, Uncle Tim, my room is messy.
Then clean it, said my Uncle Tim.
The next night I ran away to the bridge. Then I noticed my Uncle Tim was under the bridge. When I was sleeping he turned me into a puppy. When I woke up I looked at myself and I started to cry like a puppy. Then I saw a poor girl, and she wanted some candy. So I took her to Candyland. When she saw that I was a good little puppy she took me to her house and she said, Mommy, I found a girl puppy by the bridge. Can we keep her?
Then her mother said, okay.
Then my Uncle Tim was bad.
He was looking in his magic mirror and saw me and he said, I will get you one day and that little girl will cry so much and she is going to say, I want my puppy back.
Then he came and took me to his house and wouldn't go.
And then my Uncle Tim said, I just love your eyes when you cry. When it was night time the little poor girl came and said, I miss you Sammy S.
And then I said, I miss you too.
DANNY AND HER FATHER
by Danielle Pizana
Once upon a time there was a girl named Danny. She was pretty with short blonde hair. She was 17 years old. She was nice. Danny loved animals and they talked to her. Danny lived in the forest with her father. He had black hair. He was 34 years old. He was nice to his daughter. Her father really liked bears. Danny and her father were happy together. They liked their house.
One night at 10:00 Danny and her father went for a walk in the dark forest. Danny said, Father, its snowy out.
We'll still go for a walk, said her father. Danny and her father walked a mile from their house. Suddenly, an old man jumped out from behind a tree. Danny and her father screamed. The old man was ugly and stinky. He never took a bath.
He was an evil old man. I'm 190 years old man. I don't like people or animals, said the old man. I'm going to turn your daughter into a frog and you into a dragon, he screeched to Danny's father.
Please don't turn my father into a dragon, cried Danny.
He turned Danny into a frog. He turned her father into a dragon. Then the old man disappeared.
A beautiful fairy was flying in the forest and she saw the dragon. She flew down to talk to him.
Are you a person? asked the Fairy.
Yes, yelled the dragon.
Abracadabra, turn the dragon back in to a person, yelled the Fairy.
Danny's father turned back into a man. Can you please turn the frog back into my daughter? asked the father.
Yes, I will turn your daughter back into a person, said the Fairy. Abracadabra, turn the frog back into a daughter, yelled the Fairy.
Danny turned back into a person. Her father hugged her and Danny cried.
Thank-you Fairy for turning us back in to people, said Danny and her father.
You are welcome ,replied the Fairy . Danny and her father walked home. They lived happily ever after.
THE LOST RING
By Katie Palmer
One day I was walking in the woods I saw a big bear. He said, Hi. Will you come with me to my house?
Yes, I said , I will come to your house. When we get there I told him that I had lost my ring in the woods. I have needed to find it today or I would cry for a week. It was a magic ring that my mom and dad got me for my birthday. It is a special ring so will you help me find it?
Yes I will.
So can we go now?
Yes, we can.
Oh thank you. You are so nice. We go and I see my mom and dad looking for me. Bear where are you? I go to his house and I see him sitting in his bed. Why did you go without me?
Because if they would have seen me with you, you would have had to go home all along, said the bear.
So you should have hid or something like that, I said.
I would have come to get you but they would have seen me, the bear said.
You're right about that, I said.
I said, so what if they find your house?
They will not find my house, but if they do I will move the house, said the bear.
How can you do that? I asked.
I am a magic bear.
Oh! I said.
You are magic?
Yes I know I am.
But you can not be magic too.
Why not? I asked.
Because you can not have my magic.
I have some special magic.
But why? I asked.
Because I said so!
OK, I get you now. Can we go look for my ring?
Yes, we can go look for your ring. Let's go find it.
OK, I said. We get there and I think I see it. I see it, I said. No it is not the ring. It is a tree.
Oh, I am so sorry.
It is OK.
We see a big cave and we go in to sleep. I wake up and see my ring just setting there. I go to get it but it is too far away. I can not get it. I will, said the bear. He gets it and gives it to me and we go to my house. But when we are almost there and the bear disappears.
I go home sad as sad as can be. When I get there my mom wants to see the ring.
I pull it out and hug her. I go up to my room and my mom and dad kiss me good night and I go right to bed because it was a long day for me.

by Meggan McKinney
Once two girls and I went for a walk in the woods. Andrea and Katie and I saw a cave. We went in it. We were walking inside when an elf jumped out and said, Hi girls.
We screamed, Help,Help! and ran at the same time. The elf was chasing us. Andrea fell and hurt her knee. The elf picked her up and said, Ha,Ha!
I said, Please let her go.
He said, Go get me some food.
No, it's not worth it, Katie said.
The elf said, O.K. I will turn her into a frog.
Poof! Poof! She was a frog.
I said, Katie you stupid! Katie, why did you do that?
I am sorry ! Katie said.
I said, Katie come here. I have an idea. Do you have some water in your water jug?
Yes, said Katie.
Give it to me, I said. I got the water and said, I have to get a drink.
I poured the water on the elf. The magic left the elf and was now on Katie. I said, Katie, turn him into a pig.
OK, said Katie. Now turn Andrea back into a girl. Katie said, Magic turn Andrea back into a girl. Poof! The frog turned into Andrea. I said, Andrea are you OK?
Yes, she said. I had a first aid kit with me. I bandaged her knee.
I poured some water on Katie. Now the magic was not on anyone. Katie and Andrea and I got the rest of the way home safely. We never went back in the woods again.
